Grove IV was donated to Hospice Care Ottawa, as part of the silent auction at their Fall Fashion Show & Luncheon in Ottawa. The popular show raises funds to continue providing high-quality palliative care.
“ Nena “ – Ana Maria Rutenberg grew up in Mexico City as the youngest of five children and the only girl. This is where her nickname comes from: “Nena” means, “ little baby girl ” in Spanish.
Ana Maria studied art and design in Mexico, Italy and Germany. She worked for 25 years as a Graphic Designer and has been recognized as, one of the first “Women in Design”. She is featured at the “HfG” Ulm School of Design in Germany: www.frauen-hfg-ulm.de.
Since 1996, Ana Maria decided to dedicate her time to her passion of painting watercolours and acrylics.
As an artist, she always tries to give a meaning to her paintings; the subject has to talk to her. Her radian watercolours and acryl paintings show bright colours, exotic flowers and interesting subjects. Some of her paintings are in private collections in Mexico, Germany and Canada.
Ana Maria’s work has won awards and has been selected in various juried shows. She takes part in local art shows and exhibitions.
